Question about Laptop CPUs

I want to upgrade my laptop to a dual core.

Do all laptop CPU's have the same socket?

My current CPU is a Celeron 900.

Can I use this CPU?

Is this something you know how to do, replacing a laptop CPU is not a simple task.

a lot of laptops do not have an upgradeable cpu then again a bunch do. the only way to know is to disassemble your laptop to find out if there is a socket and what type. then you also need to make sure your bios supports the cpu. note laptops are easy to break when taking apart and you must take your time when your doing it and noting where all the little screws go. considering the age of a Celeron 900 it would be more worth saving up for a new computer then upgrading but that's your choice
