Hello!

So I am looking into my laptop for college this fall. I am going to be a computer science major.

This is what I have been eyeing:

Is it sketchy to buy this on ebay? I'd rather buy from the manufacturer but I need to keep the price down.

Anyway, the biggest issue I'm seeing on that is the 1366 x 768 resolution. I'd really like something at least 1600 x 900. Would there be a way for me to buy this laptop then switch the screen out for one that is higher res?

On another note, does anyone have any input on if this will work well for a cs major? I have a fairly beefy gaming desktop I have at home, so I won't be using the laptop for games and such. Oh, and I'd plan on buying at least another 4GB of RAM to add.

If not, any suggestions? The other one I have been eyeing is this:

The only thing sketchy about that one is that the seller doesn't know what type of wireless connectivity it has, and my school specifies that I need dual band.

Thanks!

Don't buy any laptops off ebay. You won't get jack sh#$ for warranty coverage or if you do it will be a nighmare trying to get it honored. Buy from a major retailer or the OEM. Here are a couple of good choices. You can buy a usb wireless dual band adapter fairly cheap so I wouldn't limit my laptop choices by requiring it to be included.
