Question about new laptop

My brand new Acer aspire v5-573G just arrived today, and that thing doesn't have an OS installed. It came with some disk that says something like "resources", but the laptop doesn't have a CD/DVD drive built in so i will need to buy an external one.

Anyway, a guy i know will come and install Windows 7 on it tomorrow.

I plugged in the charger, and turned the laptop on, and saw some penguin staring at me. It's some linux crap, it says:

Welcome to Linpus Linux

Configuring kernel parameters: [ OK ]
//2 other lines of some random stuff
setting hostname localhost.localdomain: [OK]

I don't know what to do here, perhaps i can't do anything else until i have the OS installed on this thing?

Well was the machine advertised as having Windows? I would look on Acer website and raise the question with them. Depending on where the version of Windows comes from you could have some warranty issues in the future.

the machine was advertised as "No OS included".

What country? I've never seen an Acer sold in the USA with no OS. I've seen others but not Acer.
