Question about router's local transfer speed

Hey there, I have a 300mbs adsl modem and i 'm thinking, if i add extra router 1gbps and connect my home local server pc to it will i get new router's speed when transferring file or i will be limited with main modem's speed?

P.S: Dont tell me change my adsl modem,because where i live there is no fiber optic interrnet and i'm just limited with adls modem and there is no such modem with 1gbs or so.

You won't get higher speed with the router. Your internet is only as fast as the slowest part of your network.

between your local server and pc would be the local router speed
