why does the 455 temp change from 30c to 80c when i unlock the 4th core?

What cooler are you using? I wouldn't attempt to unlock the 4th core on a stock cooler as it will only end in tears!

Sometimes the temperature sensor gets messed up when you unlock cores. It could also be as JollyJay says, you may need a beefier cooler to do it. If I'm right in thinking, the reported TDP of the unlocked 455 is 126 watts.

I unlocked two x3 435's and clocked them to 3.2GHz on stock coolers, no issues
What program are you using to define temps Melikepie?

Run Prime95 On All 4 Cores For A Couple Hours, If It Dosent Hard-Lock Or Shutdown Randomly, Its Temp-Reporting Error. My x3 Unloked To 4 Cores Dosent Even A Report A Temperature From Within Windows.

When I unlocked my 455, I saw 60C at idle (from 28C) and 85+C 3 minutes into running Prime95 at which time I shut down prime and relocked the processor. Been running 3 core ever since BUT I really want that extra core... I can't afford even a cheap WC loop...

i have a 8120, and a N570 but this is for someone else
