.rar files only extract to 4%

Hallo,

I have a large .rar file (400mb) which I'm trying to extract with WINRAR. It is password protected.

I put in the absolute correct password, then the file extracts to 4% and it just says "CRC Failed in the encrypted file. Wrong Password?".

I have been assured that the password is correct. Could there be some other problem which I'm not aware of?

I've tried to extract the file with other software, but I also get the message "bad password".
