Raspberry Pi for a beginning programmer

I've recently learned of the Raspberry Pi and became interested. I was wondering if anyone has heard of cool ideas or uses for it? Any suggestions would be appreciated

You mean something you can Google and find 1000 uses for it that way? Nope, havent heard of any interesting uses for a Pi.

Although i am currently having some trouble with mine I want to emulate games on it and install minecraft. or make a quad-copter. or a smart mirror. or a web server. or a music player. or a robot. or anything you can think of
