Can you tell me anything about the foloowing brands of HDTVs?
ELEMENT
PROSCAN
LG
VIZIO
VIORE

LG is the best recognized brand name on the list; I own the LG 47LH90 HDTV.

The rest are considered "value" because they are either new or their productline is focused on the lower end.

The exception is Proscan. They are probably considered to be higher end at least on the more expensive items, but they have low brand recognition.

I mentioned the name "Luck Goldstar" to a co-worker, the response was more-or-less, "I remember that crappy company...". They were known for more-or-less average to sub-standard (cheap) electronics a long time ago. They are a Korean company just like Samsung.

When I asked him if he liked LG Electronics he said, "I love 'em". His jaw dropped when I mentioned LG and "Luck Goldstar" are the same company.
