I see no fatal flaws. That i7 isn't quite pumping out much though and 2.0GHz isn't exactly any better than most i5 processors, but not the worst. No SSD is a problem sometimes but it won't cause any issues. I would be curious to know the price of this machine, since a laptop with a AMD FX-8580 CPU (2.2GHz Base) and a AMD Radeon R6 GPU sells for $549 in the US.

What brand is it?

I have reason to believe it is a Dell Inspiron 15 (7537) retailing at $1320.

I don't really think that the Dell Inspiron 15 7537 is a value buy though. I can buy an Acer Aspire E5 474G 79H1 with a Nvidia GT940M, a i7-6500U, 8GB of RAM and some 1TB of HDD at around $700 USD.

True, but the best feature of the laptop is that its touch screen maybe that is the reason why its quite expensive.
Also, since my ventilation vents are at the top and the bottom., does the fan sucks in air from the top or bottom?

I ain't a geek, so I can't advise you on ventilation. I did have a HP Envy 15 TouchSmart, which ran at around $1200, so I guess you are probably right. I will never advise anyone EVER buy a HP Envy due to it's array of hinge problems (which was my demise, caused my LCD cables to break).

Alright

Or maybe Dell is just gouging people. At most, a touchscreen should add MAYBE $100 to the price. I got the laptop in my sig about a year ago for $1149US (although it is no longer completely stock. I added 16GB of RAM, and swapped the original 1TB drive for a 2GB, as well as adding a second 2TB drive, and swapped the dvd drive for a blu-ray drive).

To answer you question I will need to know what to rate it on. I personally think i7 ulvs are a waste as most people that want an ultrabook will only be doing the general things than an i5 ulv can handle. Knowing that it is a dell Inspiron for over $1000 I would say it is not worth it. Also I would recommend that you upgrade it to 10 as soon as you can as the performance should increase by quite a lot in my opinion.

Is think Dell overrates the price of touchscreens. My Dell Inspiron 14 (3459) with 12GB RAM i5-6200u (2.2GHz Base Frequency) is only $650. It may not have a Dedicated GPU, but it's brilliant in basically every other way. This thing is a lovely piece of machinery <3
