Razer Leviathan + 2.1 speaker system?

So I decided to pick up a Razer Leviathan Sound Bar for my pc audio. I currently have a Genius GX 2.1 sound system, which I enjoy, but I am wondering if I can make a jank sound system by putting these two together. The Leviathan is hooked up to my MB by optical, and the 2.1 system feeds into a main box which then goes into the green 3.5mm port on the MB. I am using Realtek audio manager and I cannot find a way to have sound going through both systems at one time.

This may not be possible because of the actual way sound is outputted, or there may be software/knowledge of software limitations. I do enjoy this new sound bar and hate to pack up my old speakers unless it just wont happen.

Just get a optical splitter and you can make use of both the systems

How would that work though? Only one system has the capability to do optical, the other is standard 3.5mm. Is there a difference in quality between optical and 3.5mm? The Leviathan has that but if theres quality loss it won't be worth it.
