I love this, I mean seriously even with Jar Jar this is going to be sweet. Lucas is taking his time, spending several years and several million dollars on each film to make sure the conversion to 3D is perfect. I can't wait.

Also, seriously, if you don't like Star Wars, then don't fucking go see it! You don't need to bitch about how this is a stupid marketing ploy to make Lucas even more money. Let those of us who are fans spend our money however we like. $140 for the 9 disc blu-ray set on sept. 27 may seem like a waste unless you are a huge fan. There are a lot of us around.

[citation][nom]jibbs[/nom]This is a waste. You can't get good looking 3D without being filmed in 3D.[/citation]
Well, only 1/2 of the movie was 'film' the rest is CG, which is quite easy to make into 3D. So essentially, the CG parts (which we decent) will be upgraded and the characters will remain 2D... as I'm sure we all realize... there is no amount of tech that can make Anakin or Padme 3D ^_^

3D is a fad, it comes and goes like herpes. My grandfather took my grandmother to see a movie in 3D on their second date back in the 1950s! They also had silly glasses! My dad and my mom went to see Jaws 3D. Now I'm supposed to be amazed by 3D? Sorry it's still crap...

Remember how they editted out the fat guy in Episode 4 for the big slug they eventually used for Jabba?

Save the expense of converting to 3D and edit every scene with Jar Jar Binks for someone less annoying - anyone would do - even Pee Wee Herman playing the kazoo through a War Requiem would be less annoying...

First, every copy of the prequel trilogy must be destroyed as well every reference to those movies recorded anywhere. Then we all vow to never mention the movies again; we never tell our children we allowed the films to be made. Lastly, to make sure it never happens again, we banish Lucas to the Moon... The original films, before the new footage, were excellent (Ewoks and all) and they needed nothing more than some remastering.

I agree, I think 3d is just a fad and not worth it. If I see it it will be because I give in to my kids wanting to see it, but hopefully I don't

How original Lucas, the 3D bandwagon train. it took many of us 5-years to get over that horrendous obamanation (pun intentional) you derived in jar-junk, worse than a Lucas cameo. Episode III was an improvement but the ode to Frankenstein at the end was another Lucas disaster. Let someone like J.J. Abrams reboot this ailing franchise.

"I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly ripped off $25 a seat."

[citation][nom]Ezence[/nom]But in 3D you can attempt to strangle him![/citation]
+1000!!!

That thought might just make seeing the 3D version bearable...
