Really slow all in one Samsung ATIV One 5

Basically what the title says. I've been having an issue with this comp being so slow i haven't downloaded anything, but Skype even before that it was still slow. All I want to know is what do i need to do to boost the speed of this comp. (Samsung - ATIV One 5 21.5" Touch-Screen All-In-One Computer) also it is from Best Buy fi ths helps at all.

is it running windows 8? Try backing up your files and do a system refresh.

yes it is running windows 8

The problem is there is not enough RAM (the included 4gb RAM is shared with the integrated graphics chip that is trying to render a High Def, 21" monitor) and the hard drive is very slow (5400rpm). You should upgrade the RAM to 8gb and replace the hard drive with a Solid State Drive. It will not be a speed demon even after this upgrade, but it will make the computer perfectly usable.
