Question Rear speakers not working on Vizio 5.1 surround sound

It’s V series. Im using hdmi. Im using Spotify to listen to music off my Roku tv.

When i listen to music, I barely get any sound out of the rear speakers, even when I turn Surround level up all the way.

I’ve also heard that using direct is better than any of the presets. When I switch from music to direct, I don’t get any sound out of the small rear speakers. It also sounds worse overall. This is the same case with Movies as well.

Also, what does the center level do?

Music does not include surround sound audio as a standard mix, so you only get L/R sound.
