Receiver to TV

I'm trying to connect an old Onkyo CR-325 to a Samsung LN32C530F1F tv, but I'm having problems. I tried using stereo Audio RCA cables to connect the two, but no sound is coming out of my speakers. The receiver has an output labeled, "Dock." I tried connecting the tv to the Dock outputs on the receiver, but no sound comes out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

According to the specs on your TV the only audio output is optical so I suspect you have been trying to use an audio input as an output.
You are going to need an digital optical to analog converter like this one

Set the TV to output in PCM or stereo.
It won't matter which input on the Onkyo you connect it to.
