Solved! Reception with an indoor antenna

My friend lives in one the few places in the US without access to the internet, altho they receive limited, very slow service from a satellite in the sky. The residents of McElmo Canyon outside Cortez, CO, petitioned the phone company but were ignored. Would an indoor/outdoor antenna allow them to receive Netflix, Amazon, etc.?

No. Netflix, Amazon Prime Video require internet service. An outdoor antenna would allow them to receive over-the-air TV broadcast.
