Recommended Netbook for Uni?

Hi all,

So I'm looking for a new laptop/netbook for Uni since my current one was a freebie and has an Atom N450 (1 core @ 1.6GHz) which is painfully slow (as in word takes about 20 seconds to boot). What I'm looking for:
- Small and portable (not a full sized laptop)
- Under AUD$600 but would be willing to go higher if its worth it
- Able to handle web surfing and Office (not planning on any gaming)

How many inches do you want the screen?

as my experience most bottle neck on laptop is HDD and memory..
but yeah, atom is a dead slow chip. I tend to avoid it after bad experience with "net book"

if not into gaming Intel i3 or AMD apu (A4+) is enough...
but u need to start invest on SSD (60gb/90gb), and memory (2g) and use the HDD from the notebook to became external storage..

it's pains to see the cpu is doing nothing waiting data to be fetch from notebook HDD..
causing the system to slowdown...

Maybe about 11-12" but nothing bigger than 13 I think
