Red Dot on Black BackGround

Hello,
I have recently bought HP dv6 laptop.
From day one i see a Red dot at the centre of the screen on Black BackGround. How to fix this issue? My laptop is just 1 week old.

I think it is a stuck pixel. Depend on your manufacturer, you may return it as DOA. Check their policy, some have 0 dead/stuck pixel return policy. But most require you to have two continuous or three separate dead/stuck pixel before you return it.

You can get DOA if you opt for or the manufacturer has the the 0 dead/stuck pixel, perfect screen on arrival policy. But yes usually, you wouldn't choose the option because it costs more or the manufacturer does not provide that option.
