Hello,
Should blank (and pre-recorded) reels be stored vertically or flat? I have a lot of them, all in their original boxes. Thanks!

Solution
Quite to the contrary. Reel-to-reel tapes, audio cassettes and videocassettes should be stored
vertically so the spindle carries the weight of the tape. Storing them flat puts the weight of the tape on its own edge, which will eventually result in localized crushing of the tape edge.
