My REL Q100 subwoofer is no longer powering up, and I'm wondering whether there's anything that someone unqualified like myself could check before consigning it to the scrapyard?
My initial instinct was to look for a fuse on the circuit board, but I don't see anything that looks like a fuse to me (see image attached).

Can anyone suggest a good alternative to scrapping it?

Thanks for the feedback. I contacted REL and their response was: "As this model is now nearly 20 years old we no longer have spare parts available and trying to repair the amplifier at component level isn't going to be cost effective, we also no longer service these models"
Looks like it's time for a new sub....
The BK Gemini II looks like good value - has anyone tried one?

Do you have a fuse in the plug?

I would say that is not a complex board, the components are simple and replaceable, it should be easy enough to figure out where the power stops.

Might be worth finding local electrical stores that might do repairs. Just a thought. But new stuff is nicer.
