Solved! Remove a virus from my phone battery

My phone shuts off at 50 percent power then when I try to turn it back on my battery reads as 0 percent and won't let me turn it back on.
When I plug it in again I have to turn the phone on and then off again and it's reading after I turned it back off again. Bit it still shuts down at 50 percent. How so I fix this.

Clearly the battery needs to be replaced I think. I have had the same problem and a fresh battery seems to solve the issue.
