Question remove chrome brave on Galaxy A54 when no app found

I clicked on an offer to add a Brave add on to Chrome and now cannot remove or uninstall. There is no Chrome or Brave app in settings / app

Seems that would be an extension (in Chrome: Settings/Extensions/Manage Extensions).

How can I remove it ? It is only a problem on the phone.

Try this:

Open the Google Play Store, search for "Brave Browser," and select Uninstall on the app page.

I opened Google Play Store and searched for Brave Browser and can see " Brave Private We..." next to the Install button. When I tap Install it starts to download.
My understanding is that this means there is not an active Brave Browser on the phone.

Agreed. Sounds like Brave is not already installed.

What makes you think you originally downloaded/installed it? Aside from clicking on something.

A false memory?
I remember clicking on something saying I could remove it at any time, I assumed I had authorised some other activity.
