+1 Bogcotton! Seriously, the solution they've chosen is to render a separate image for each eye, cutting the framerate in half. Why don't they just increase the width of the standard resolution and each eye gets the same image either shifted left, or shifted right? It can't be that easy can it? People higher than my paygrade better be able to think of that!"
because just simply shifted something to the left/right wont work, for all intent and purposes you need to create a second camera view, otherwise you dont need a bloody 3D camera for all those fancy 3D films, they just have to shift the image to the left or right.... heck retro-fitting old movies would be an easy task of just shifting the image to the right and left....
unfortunately as you pointed out... i guess thats why your payscale is where it is.... dont mean to flame but you did bring it up.....
