Repairing a k53sv broken board

Hi all, first of all sorry for my poor english.
I have an asus k53sv board that a friend has broken trying to solder the dc power connector. I am not able to find the diagram and I'm wonder if someone of you can help me. As you can see from the image, the board is broken and the dc connector and the LAN connector are missing. I am not interested to the LAN connector but I just want to bring back power on the board. What if I solder the positive (+) to the pin survived on the board and the negative to one of the screw platforms? Or there is some other way to give power to the board!? Maybe using the battery connector!?

gotta agree here the one pin is totally broken off and it looks like the printed circuits are damaged at that end.there is just no place to solder your - end to.a new board is your best bet.
