Repairing disk errors. This man might take an hour to complete

So today I was watching a livestream and suddenly the power went off. I turned my PC back on and it went straight into saying diagnosing then after that it said repairing disk errors. It's only been about 50-60 minutes so far. Should I be worried or should I just let it keep repairing? I have a 500gb hard drive.
