This article doesn't mention... but from what i've heard you are supposed to close your eyes, lay back, and listen closely to what is being played on the headphones.

An example of what would play is the sounds of someone walking up to you, saying hello, and beginning to cut your hair (like going to the hair dresser) using headphones gives you a more realistic feeling

It does work, you're not doing it right. The high is euphoria like.

Pick 2 songs. Play one on the left side. Play one on the right side. Make sure the distances are different, but the relative DB you are receiving are the same. (close- less volume, far- more volume) Go into theta state (day dream) and try to merge the 2 streams into one.

You can also do this before you sleep and see if you can lucid dream.

What is funny is Lucid Dreamers have been doing this for a long time... and now it is "ZOMG kids are getting stoned off sound" which is hardly what is actually happening.

No, your generation doesn't have "issues". You have many opportunities in life, and more technology to assist you than any previous generation. The problem is so many kids these days just fcuk it all up for themselves, by doing something stupid, thinking it makes them "cool". Exercise, eat healthy foods, stay in school, and don't do drugs, and you're already ahead of 99.9% of the dumb kids out there.

Ok, I give up on my generation. Luckily I was born in the late 80's so I cant technically be called gen y. I feel sorry for the future state of the world. Getting high off an MP3, sure a FLAC file that was creatively put together sounds good but getting high off a song. I just think this is a case of desperation and stupidity for these teens. I dont get the whole point of getting high at all. I started building computers back when I was 14 and was interested in computers even earlier (money helps with this hobby as im sure most of you are aware) so my hands were never idle. Computers actually kept me from getting into trouble and doing drugs. My friends on the other hand get higher than kites. Well time for Geeks to rule the world, whos with me.

Gateway drug? Comon, there's no such thing. Everything is a gateway drug / addiction. Someone into cigs or alchool is more likely to do drugs, vice versa. Someone into physical fitness is more likely to eat well.

When you have an interest in ANYTHING, you usually also like things that are associated to it or resemble it or it's effects. It could be a sport or substance.

Hell, girls can't even take a piss in the morning or brush their teeth before they check their damn facebook. Sounds like that time my mom relaxation CD stuck and it sounded like that. What a load of crap 11 seconds in I opened my eyes took off my headset rated down that stupid "song". Really I feel bad being stuck in this generation... HOW CAN YOU GET HIGH FROM THAT?! Who is the idiot who started this random crap. People are getting dumber by the second. Might as well stand in front of the fan for ten minutes it does the same effect. What's next? Kids get high off light bulbs?
