How do I factory restore my Acer aspire one laptop without using alt- f10?

As far as I know, that's the only way without using Factory Recovery discs (which requires that the laptop has an optical drive of course).

Are you saying that Alt+F10 doesn't work? May be you're not pressing at the right time:

Turn laptop off.
Hold down the ALT key.
Turn laptop on (still keeping ALT key pressed).
Immediately keep tapping the F10 key.
