I bought an Asus zenbook flip ux360ua a week ago but since today I've got issues with the touchpad.
After a while the right click on the trackpad didn't work anymore.
If I connect a mouse it will work fine for the mouse, but the trackpad doesn't.

I guess it's not a hardware problem as I tried to following:
-I shut down the laptop.
-I connected a mouse.
-I turned on the laptop.
And then the trackpad worked again!
(Worked 3 times now)
However after a while it doesnt work again.

Have any suggestions?
Please Help!

Have you tried uninstalling the driver for it, rebooting the laptop without reinstalling the driver, and then when it restarts it should install it again on its own.

If it doesn't auto install, then you should install it. This is a common fix for this problem, when it isn't a hardware one.

You might also try configuring the settings for the touchpad. Sometime programs can change them.

Thanks for your reply.

I deinstalled the driver and turned off my laptop.
It did reinstall the driver automatically.
And for a moment it seemed to be fixed.
But now it doesnt work again.

I don't think it's a hardware problem because when I switch user profile in windows it will work again.

However I will contact ASUS, but I'm afraid they want me to send my laptop back and because I need this laptop for school, I can't really miss it.

I'm still going to try a few things out.
And if nothing works out I could still send it back to ASUS.

It does happen in the admin profile, I am not sure if the second profile also has this problem.
But when I switch from the admin account to the other profile and than back to the admin profile. It does work again ( in both profiles).

Allright I appreciatie your effort.
I downloaded drivers from the ASUS website and did a repair installation.
I hope this will do the trick.

Same here it just started today and it is really weird. It might be some weird update. My asus is ux330ua.

I had this problem after updating the Synaptics touchpad driver. I'm using Win10 Home with latest updates. For some reason the update disabled "Enable Secondary Corner Click" in the Synaptics Control panel under "One Finger" tab. I tested by enabling and disabling that feature and every single time I disabled that my right-click on the touchpad didn't work. Enabling this and it worked again. Every single time. FWIW I have two, three, and four finger features disabled. So hopefully this will help someone with this same problem.

Yeah...finally disabling 3 and 4 finger touch in multi gesture enabled right click with two fingers. Thanks for advice :)
