I wonder why 4.65" instead of 4.5" for the 1280x720. The latter is 326 DPI (same as iPhone 4), the former is 316 DPI which is still super high of course (Atrix is 275 and I believe Steve Jobs is quoted as saying anything over 300 is retina quality). I like 4.5" (16x9 anyway) for its ability to fit in a 122x68 mm (Evo 4G size) form factor with achievable borders (5 and 11.2 mm). Going to 4.65 with this form factor is a bit tight (4 and 9.5 mm), but still doable. I hope the phone doesn't get much longer than an Evo (it starts to jam in my front pants pocket around 125 mm), but I don't mind a bit wider (I can still hold an Infuse 4G at 68 mm easily). I've been waiting for at least 1280x720 for a while now, so I look forward to checking it out.

But get ready for the whiners if this rumor about the screen size pans out.

As far at the 5.29" 1280x820 screen, is this a typo? Who uses that aspect ratio? 1280x720, 1280x768, or 1280x800 are the only numbers that make sense that I'm aware of (that have at least 1280 pixels vertically).

720p just sounds like too many pixels per inch, as far as a smartphone is concerned. i'd like to see what it looks like on a 5" screen.

Why did they have to name it Ice Cream Sandwich? Every time I click on an article to read about sweet, delicious frozen treats I am disappointed after it loads up.

I'm confused here too. Is 2.4 ICS for phones and 4.0 ICS for tablets or what? Could somebody please clarify?

I think that the plan is to merge the developments of the 2.x Android phone and the 3.x Android tablet into one unified OS when Ice Cream Sandwich comes out. In other words Android 4 IceCream will be the same on phones and tablets.
