As one who works in a hospital, I can say that this would be useful.... for some patients. I work on a physical rehabilitation unit, and a chair like this would be highly counter-productive on my unit, given the goal of making our patients stronger and more independent.
 
looks like an ejector seat to use in case of oncoming unstoppable shit,,, just too bad the tv doesn't release with it,,, that would have been perfect with the game console installed in the base of the seat
 
Why is everything suddenly a 'Robot'? For years now we've had to put up with Remote Control = Robot (Robot Wars!!!!).

Now we have Motorized Bed = Robot. I have a phone that automatically lifts the receiver when I'm on headset, is that a robot now too? How about the ice cream maker at home, it has a motor in it?

It would also be interesting to see what this bed can do with sheets/pillows/blanket.
