I plug mine into one of my hdmi ports on my reciever. Works well without having all the cords. It will take a couple of seconds to boot up but after that you're good to go. Same picture & audio quality.

Great article Sean. For those who live outside US like me, you can access Netflix, Hulu and similar media stations on your Roku by using UnoTelly or similar tools.
