Rubber Pin like thing that came out

My Laptop is HP Envy. Recently, a rubber pin like thing came out from the back of my laptop. I was hoping to find out what it is used for . Also, my laptop recently had overheating issues(90-100C at High performance, with fan blowing very fast even though no hot air is coming out .I was wondering if these are related? (Long shot, though )

That is only a rubber foot to keep the laptop from lying flat on the case.

If no air is coming out, open up the system, check the fan, remove the heatsink, apply new thermal paste.
