That would be cool, but I would hate that it would be limited to only Apple devices. I would rather have an open standard that all tablets, phones, and tvs would work with that could copy the phone or tablet and display it on the tv through wifi.
Proprietary technology is always bad for the consumers.
I can see exactly how this will happen. They will "revolutionize" television. Google TV will be forgotten and will only take off once apple implement theirs. Google will then be taken to court for stealing ideas
The newest version of Google TV (3.1) is so bad that I would personally say that Apple has a good opportunity here to show Google who is the boss of livingroom media.

32-37inch is what you consider a "boss" of livingroom media? But yes I agree google TV is bad. Hopefully their next gen iTVs will be able to hit the 50-55inch arena.
[citation][nom]cabose369[/nom]Articlet should add:The TV's are expected to sell as follows: 32"- $1199.99 37"- $1599.99Haha! That would be typical Apple pricing.[/citation]
You've got it all wrong!
As follows:
32" revolutionary television with life changing "iOS" $1199.99
Yeah and when I'm watching my LG 47" 3D TV and running all these things through my Bluray Player I'll laugh at the iTV Commercials knowing that LG is likely to be the display manufacturer of choice for Apple and yet my LG will probably cost so much less. =D
The sizes aren't very compelling for a main TV. I still like the set top box model better, you don't have to throw out a whole HDTV if you need to upgrade the hardware.
If they are priced like all Apple products, the majority of people wouldn't even care about it all. I for one rather have a big TV, like a 55" or bigger, than a 37" TV with a fancy interface. If anyone of my friends bought one and wanted to watch The Super Bowl on it, I will just reply, "Yeah, I'll just stay home, and watch the game on my 50" LCD." Sometimes, bigger is better.
