Solved! Running ASUS F555L With Battery Removed

I have an Asus F555L laptop with a swollen battery. I am going to remove the battery and was wondering if it is ok to run the laptop on mains power with the battery removed until the new battery arrives?

It will work as usual. Handle that battery with a strong glove in case it splits open and douses your hand with acid.

When the new battery arrives, fully charge it then remove mains and run it down until it turns the laptop off. Recharge and repeat the operation a few times and your battery life will be extended.
