Question Samsung A53 doesn't accept password anymore

Issue started after wrong combination was entered and phone was locked for 30 seconds, the pin is the 9 dot one
the combination that worked before now doesn't and claims incorrect
after a phone update i'm completely locked out due to it demanding the combination.

Note that fingerprint still worked until after the update when it demanded the swipe combo

can't update if you can't login. unless you want to do a factory reset

factory reset seems to be one of the option, but it hurts to let go of 14k photos
