Samsung android tablet problems with photos

For some reason, my gallery of photos no longer cooperates. I used to take a picture, it would go into the "camera" album, I would tap on the menu, select a photo, tap on the menu, and have the option to move the photo into one of my albums. The list of albums would be provided, and I would tap the one I wanted, and the photo would move there. NOW when I open my gallery, I see the albums, but tapping on the menu results in ONLY a Slide Show option. I can no longer find a way to move a new photo into my album. The menu to do this seems to have evaporated. Can you help? Thank you.

For some reason, when I turned this on today, it had corrected itself, and I was able to do what I'd been unable to do when I posted here. I have no idea why this tablet didn't work yesterday, and evidently no one here did either. But thanks for reading my post anyway!
