Samsung DLP Lamp Replacement

I have 10 year old Samsung 61"HLT6189S TV. It just quit working. Power light will turn on and no picture. Samsung rep mentioned that i cannot replace DLP lamp by myself in my model TV. He suggested to call online service request. Is it good idea to get it repaired or buy new one.

Your TV uses an LED light source which is why you can't change it yourself. You can't even be sure that that's the problem until a tech makes a house call. Could be a power supply issue.
I very much doubt the cost of repair will make sense.
I think it's time for a new TV.
