My 8+ won't unmount my SD card. Locks up, restarts. Two days ago it did it with ease.

Last week it did the same thing. If I just take the card out will it corrupt the data?

Power the phone down, and then remove the SD card. That will prevent any corruption issues (from removal anyway). Backup you files elsewhere.

Might be time for a new SD card, or possibly a phone reset if it is having other issues as well.
