Is that a dial that looks vaguely like an Apple "Crown" on the right of this watch? I smell a lawsuit incoming. But seriously though, GPS & HRM on one watch? Sounds like a good bit of progress to me! When will they add a tiny camera, so we can have Sci-fi style video calls on our wrists?
I knew a guy who patented the rotating bezel (a la diver's watch) for controlling a wrist-computer/mobile-device years ago... for his company of course but I'm not sure it'll apply to a so-called smart-watch category. It's only a shame it wasn't me.
That company was merged, bough and bought (I suspect together with all of the patents) and so now I guess a large semiconductor manufacturer may be watching this idea closely ready to pounce in a troll-like manner! (I suspect with the originator not seeing a cent for his vision).
