Samsung mu6100 to Onkyo 3800 ARC

Hi. I have an Xbox One X, which is connected directly to my Samsung Mu6100 4K TV. I'm looking to use the ARC function on the TV to connect to my Onkyo HT-S3800, to enable the sound from my Xbox to come through the Onkyo amp.

No matter what I try, it's not happening. I can connect the Xbox to the amp, and sound will come through. But doing that means I lose some HDR options.

So, my preference is, Xbox to TV, TV to amp via ARC, sound from amp.

Did you connect the HDMI out of the receiver to the HDMI-ARC input on the TV. Only one will be marked ARC.
Did you turn on ARC in the TV menu?
Did you try turning the TV speakers off in the TV menu.
Did you assign ARC as you audio source for an input in the Onkyo input menu? Check the Onkyo manual.

Hi, yes to all of the above. Looking further online, I found this (Samsung TV instructions on support):

Press the Home button → Settings → Audio → Audio Return Channel.

I don't see that on my TV settings, I have Display and Sound instead. Hmm.
