Samsung p8500, Bose soundbar, trying to add Bluetooth headphones

I have a Samsung p8500 TV with a Bose soundbar. I want to use my Bluetooth headphones but this TV has only one audio out(which is digital). I was going to use a splitter to allow the digital signal to keep going to the soundbar and use the jack to plug my Bluetooth transmitter I to. Will this work? I only want sound from one device at a time.

It will work. You will probably need to set the audio output of the TV to PCM to get the BT transmitter working. Turn off the one you don't want to use as they both could work at the same time.
