Apple should be boycotted over this. They are not playing fair but are afraid of competing like a man.Screw Apple and their ITOILET !!!
This is a very stupid thing to do.If I was Samsung i would stop doing any business with Apple and let them go elsewhere for their parts.
If I was the boss even if I were going to lose a little money I would call up Jobs and tell him he can suck my dog's ass our companies will no longer do business on any projects together.

[citation][nom]law shay[/nom]Too bad Apple has already stocked up them at least for a few years (I heard).[/citation]

They can't because the IPAD 4 and possibly the IPAD 3 will use parts that may have not been made yet.

that makes me want buy galaxy, apple gave samsung a big favor by doing this.

Businesses have been copying the look of the top selling brands for years, usually its some devious little whole in the wall company not a huge company like Samsung. They should just change the packaging so it doesn't look like an iPad. Sell on what the product is not what their competitor's product is. Lots of people hate Apple and will buy it, they don't need to look like Apple that's not honest or wise.

Samsung should request a investigation on the judge that did the ruling. It's absurd that the judge could rule that fast without having being paidof by apple.

Typical idiots posting again without reading or understanding what's going on.

Apple was able to file a case for preliminary injunction because that's the way the law works in Germany. However, the other side of the story hasn't been posted. If the injunction gets overturned then Apple has to pay Samsung for any damages due to the injunction (however much money Samsung loses while their Tabs are blocked).

Apple knows this and they took a gamble filing. If they win they're fine, if they lose they gotta pay millions. This is the chance you take with filing an injunction of this type.

The judge also looked at the evidence and decided for Apple. The judge didnt just go "hey, Samsung isn't here - you win" - he still had to look at Apple's case and would only grant an injunction if there was sufficient cause. I know you retarded Apple haters would love to believe the judge was bought off, or owns an iPad, but the fact is he made a decision based purely on law.

The other issue is that EU members must abide by this decision. Not every single judgement passed in one EU member country is binding on other countries, but this particular one is (as are lots of other items relating to trade/business). This isn't Germany forcing everyone else, though I'm sure there are haters of Germany who would love nothing more than some bit of evidence to allow them to beleive it's 1939 all over again.

Face it, haters, it seems other countries and jurisdictions (first Australia, now Germany) are finding in Apple's favor. When Apple wins another 10 cases, what will your excuses be then? Since I doubt a hater would ever concede Apple is right about anything no matter how well they do or how many cases they win.

@Ericburnby

You make a very valid point but you are no different than anyone else here. You talk as if you do understand what is going on. But majority of the people here are saying that Apple is playing dirty. Apple knows the law but I don't think they are gambling. If I was the world biggest and most profitable company and I had money to wipe my ass with. I would do exactly what Apple is doing now. So what if they need to pay off Samsung if they lose, a few million dollars lose while every single shop are saying "We got no Galaxy Tabs but we got plenty of iPads" is a huge PR boost to Apple. It is not just about selling iPads, it is also all of the micro-transaction that goes with it and who knows, in the end, Apple could get all of that money they paid off to Samsung back as well as saying "There are more iPads than Galaxy Tabs in Germany".

This is just another way of seeing things. But no one truely knows Apples real intentions unless you are the CEO of Apple. But "in my opinion" Apple is playing dirty, HTC said this already but Apple should shut up and compete like everyone else.

[citation][nom]molo9000[/nom]This was a preliminary injunction, not a final decision.Still... madness. What choice do Americans have? Donkey shit or Elephant shit - 2 different shades of brown. In Europe we have a few more variations of brown. It's still mostly shit but at least we have more choice.Germany for instance has 5 political parties in parliament (Christian democrats (conservatives), Social democrats (liberals), Free democrats (libertarians), "The Left" (socialist scumbags) and Greens.) There are even 2 Pirate Party delegates in the European parliament.[/citation]

That only goes to show how little you know of the political inner workings of the government. there are i think a dozen or more parties in government.. however there are two that are the most popular. Maybe if people were smart enough to not vote for the two current popular parties things might get done around here. But the media and those same two parties have us so blinded we don't know about the others. Though im not sure if i could stand a tree hugging hippie from the green party running anything.

[citation][nom]law shay[/nom]You means customers can't read ?Or customers are too dumb to distinguish between seven-letters logo and a biten apple picture ?[/citation]
There's no other reason to sue Samsung over their Tab 10.1. It doesn't use any technology that Apple invented. Not one single bit. Apple doesn't have exclusive rights to making slate style tablet computers.

[citation][nom]Dark Comet[/nom]They can't because the IPAD 4 and possibly the IPAD 3 will use parts that may have not been made yet.[/citation]
They can because they used to lie people that they have the new things (althought the so-called "new things" are out there in market for years).

Yes, I agree. When one wants a tablet, one won't wait until a Galaxy is available. He'd buy and iPad.

It is two wars : between iPad vs Galaxy and between iOS vs Android. Here is the calculation.

If Apple wins, iPad will be sold to EU. Apps, Movies and Musics will be sold through iOS to EU.

If Apple loses, iPad will be sold to EU. Apple pay compensation to Samsung (for not selling hardware). Apps, Movies and Musics will be sold through iOS to EU.

In either case (both cases), Google (Android) loses. No Apps, Movies and Musics will be sold through Android to EU.

ok ?
