ok so i brought a new laptop few days ago "Samsung RF711", specs:

i7 2670QM
GT540m 2GB
8GB ram
1TB HDD

so yesterday I was surfing the net looking about video games and performance. so i read few articles about laptop overheating. :pfff: so i installed GPU-Z and Real Temps to check out temperatures when playing games.

Played Crysis 2 in advanced settings i think and got these results, GPU reached max of 76 and stayed there but im worried about my cpu.

TIME MHz CPU_0 CPU_1 CPU_2 CPU_3 LOAD%

14:44:10 2913.43 83 85 74 72 29.2

Copied from real temp

so only around 30% load and i get temps in 70 - 80, is that normal. what would temps be if cpu was on 100% load.

BTW give me any programs which i can use to stress my cpu but which cant break my cpu.

Tnx in advance  :D

to reduce the heat disables the turbo boost setting it to the cpu 99%
in my notebook asus x53sv-sx607v whitout turbo boost the cpu does not exceed 65-70 grad in full load, in normal activity remains on 48-55 grad

i dont know what your saying about 99% but those temps hes getting are just fine. the cpu will throttle itself at 95*.

OP your temps are just fine keep playing away.
