I have been given an SCH-411 Samsung phone that had its contract cancelled
with another carrier.
Does anyone know if this phone will work on the Sprint PCS network? If so,
can my existing Sprint PCS number be transferred over to this phone?

If anyone would know the answer to this before I try to find out from Sprint
PCS, that would be great. Thanks.

Probably technology-compatible (with Samsung, "SCH" usually indicates a CDMA
phone, "SGH" usually indicaes a GSM phone).

But if Sprint didn't originally sell it, they won't let you use it on their
network.

Verizon and Alltel are CDMA carriers that *will* activate phones they didn't
already sell.
