samsung smart tv apps

Help. Have Samsung Smart tv. Using the optical output to a blue tooth transmitter, i can only get sound from the tv broadcast through BT. When i use an app like Netflix, no sound through optical connector - only tv speakers when selected.

Have you looked at the options and made sure the optical output S/PDIF is enabled when you are using apps? As this is sometimes classed as a different source input.
