Samsung surround sound 5.1 system 1000w rear speakers aren't working

I have this setup, it says it has dolby surround sound but i can't hear anything from the rear speakers. Even when playing movies.

Either you don't have them hooked up properly, you have the audio settings wrong or they are broken. Or what you are playing is not in surround sound and only has left/right channels.
