I received a TV from a buddy at work a couple weeks ago. It is the:
PN60E530A3F xza
Samsung 60"
When I first plugged it in, it began power cycling. He said that the screen went white, but eventually it went out all together. Knowing my friend, he was talking about his other tv. So, power cycling is confirmed, but the white screen I don't know, as he is a little old. I can't figure out if it is just the power supply board, besides the fact that there is a blown capacitor, but with no image at all, worries me. I don't want to drop 90+ bucks on it, come to find out there is another issue without having any idea of what the issue could be. Any suggestions? Am I missing any info?
The second TV is a n37a450c1d Samsung, and it turns on, and just has a white screen. The menu shows up, but the color looks like a negative image. Both TV's make sound (typical Samsung power on sound), and I would like to repair them both. Any information will be very helpful.
Thanks in advance.
