I tend to lean on the side of school administrators; after all it isn't the property of the students', it belongs to the school district.

If he didn't pay the fee for insurance and still took it home with him, he has no right to complain if the administrators activated their security measures.

[citation][nom]jacobdrj[/nom]So HatCam guy gets busted for wiretapping in a public place because of "2 party consent" misinterpretation, but this school takes unauthorized pictures in a blatant invasion of privacy, that was borderline child pornography, and they get nothing, but maybe a financial slap on the wrist?THAT IS MESSED UP.[/citation]

No, thats America for you! glad I don't live in such a terrible country. And yet people are so blind and think their living such a good life.

They broke the law but didn't mean any harm, so it's okay. Wait... what?

The school may have been "cleared" of any criminal wrongdoing, but it better get its checkbook out for the civil suit--I can't imagine them winning that one.

Absolutely despicable that they could get away from this. I did not want to see the school sued at all before this, the family does not need to be financially compensated for this. They need to be charged in the criminal courts as what they did was a CRIME. Now all we have is the civil court to fall back on. This creates a terrible precedent that schools may spy on whomever they choose as long as there is no intent and that is rather ridiculous. You have a RIGHT to privacy and the court should not ignore the blatant disregard for that right.

the school system has always been a huge topic for dibate, public vs private, public vs home school, private vs home school. the fact that this school took pictures of the students is unjust, we have laws to to protect our children but was there an intent to harm the child? the laws where created to protect our children from harm. if these pictures come up on some child pronography site then ofcourse the school is completly liable, will that happen, most definatly not.

the school system may not have the curicalim you agree to but has kept willing children off the streets and into sucsefull lives, under privledged children who couldnt afford home school or private school.

my child would go to school even if it wasnt the law and to puplic school so he will can learn to survive in the already tuff world.

[citation][nom]irh_1974[/nom]Sure there is!What you mean is one that isn't already occupied by a native population that you can kill most of then put what are left in reservations and after a few centuries give then a couple of casino licenses to keep them quiet. Preferably one where they still use bow & arrows. It worked once before, it's got to be worth another shot.[/citation]

yeah i dont understand reservations and the casino thing. Honeslt when your contry is conquered you own it. Assimilation. But wait that wasnt really the americans that did it. the british french and spanish did most of it. Now when the indians attacked what was a loose coalition called the united states they got a war declared on them. Funny how when you attack a country they retaliate. But i suppose i should be mad about that. Your attemp at a insult to americans is noted and ignored. If your part of one of those other 3 countrys who slaughtered the natives with out mercy for no reason other then to take over some land you can go f your self for trying to blame my country for your atrositys.

This is of course assuming your were being an ass and trying to insinuate the american retaliation againced the natives of this contanent was a mindless rape of thier land with no provication.. Other wise ignore this post.

[citation][nom]RazberyBandit[/nom]The true American dream has been lost for roughly two centuries. Our goal to gain freedom from tyrannical rule disappeared as soon as we too became imperialistic.[/citation]

Couldn't agree more. Why should anyone (Big Brother) care about what I do in my own home? I am not hurting anyone. I am only making myself happy :)
