Scorpion H8320 headphones work, but my microphone is extremly quiet.

Are you sure it is using the mic attached to the headphones? The quiet makes me think it may be using the laptops built in mic. If that is the case, the jack may be output only.

If that is the case, you would need to get either a set up headphones/mic that has a USB jack, or get an adapter to use what you have through a USB port.
