Screen blinking problem

My lap was alright till last month. One day some blinking appeared in the middle of the screen . After that on next days it became very crucial. On lock screen itself, it is blank. But after entering password, it become normal screen will little blinking in some corners. But whenever I open applications like vlc, it is not possible to see video, only aaudio is there, screen is black. It is showing some pop up of java update. Is it any indication of virus attack?? I cant install any application and uninstall any; it shows blank screen. Suggest me a solution plzz....

Is it hardware or software? Connect laptop to some monitor and see if the screen still blinks. If it does not then you need to replace your screen

I dont think a virus can be that smart. Check if your computer works on an external montiro
