Screen issue on laptop

Not quite sure if this is the right place

I have a sony laptop, a VPCEH15FX/D

The screen is dead but I am trying to diagnose the exact issue and need some help on that

The screen is dead but if I shine a bright light at it at an angle I can see the picture very very faintly,

I've messed with the cables so its not that so it either the inverter or the backlight. How would I go about determining which one is the cause?

Okay its working now even though i didn't do anything, gonna see how it goes
